The useful bits
Studio Ghibli, in particular 'Totoro' and 'Spirited Away' have been an integral part of my childhood. These characters never cease to bring me back to a nostalgic, innocent and magical place. I couldn't make a chubby cat collection without including these characters which hold such a special place in my heart as a child and as an adult.
This large sculpture has been lovingly hand built with stoneware clay - the main body coil built and each character hand sculpted and attached to this perfectly round and matte Chubby cat. Hand painted with underglazes, glaze and and twice fired to temperatures up to 1280℃ to create a durable and strong ceramic sculpture.

Making & care
I make everything from stoneware clay and fire it twice. If a piece has gold lustre, keep it out of the dishwasher and microwave.
